Upcycles

At Upcycles Transit Inc., I worked closely with the company’s cofounders to design, from the ground up, an innovative 3-wheeled cargo vehicle. When I started at upcycles, the company was just diving into the initial phases of design. I helped guide the process of boiling down the problems we sought to address, translating these problems into requirements, then executing a design to meet them. The results of these efforts - a trike called T4 - is a nimble, aesthetically unique vehicle. I am proud of my role in creating it.

Throughout the design process, I used Solidworks extensively. I modeled the frame of the vehicle, as well as its independent front suspension. Using these Solidworks models, I conducted strength and kinematic analyses using Solidworks Simulation and Motion Studies, and prepared drawings of each part for fabrication.

I also helped test our T4 prototypes to ensure they met the requirements. I designed a regimen of performance tests, and completed a review of the production model’s performance in service.
